to your "safe list" on your email account so that you can receive messages from us when someone tries to contact you regarding an item posted • List as much pertinent information on your item as possible. A buyer may want to use your idea/concept in her own wedding – thus creating a SALE!! • Asking Price: If you are willing to take the best offer, add OBO (Or Best Offer) to your price. If you have a large quantity of an item to sell, and you may want to list the asking price per piece, add EACH to your price.
• Are you having trouble uploading a photo?? Images must be jpg, png, or gif and the max file size is 100 KB. If you picture will not upload because the file is too big, use the photo editing software on your computer to reduce the file size. Use the "change picture size" options to reduce the size of the photo or "compress" the photo. One option is resizing the phot so that the longest side is no longer than 500 pixels -this should get the size of the file reduced to under 100KB. There are many websites which can help you reduce the file size of your photo – try Picnik @ www.picnik.com – it’s easy to use :)
• Don't have a PayPal account?? No Problem! You have the option to pay on PayPal with a credit or debit card if you do not have a PayPal account. PayPal keeps your card information secure.
• Be very clear in communication with your buyer/seller about price, payment method, shipping method, and who incurs the shipping costs. Pay pal or certified check is the suggested method of payment to use to receive money from the buyer. Be careful of people offering to overpay you for your item and then asking that you send them some of the money back to them. This is most likely a check scam or some other sort of fraud. See below for a suggestion on determining shipping costs.
• SHIPPING SUGGESTIONS: Make sure that when you ship your items you ask for insurance and also get some form of tracking for the package. Insurance will ensure that any damage caused during transit is covered. And, tracking allows you to verify the shipment from the seller as well as you can verify that the buyer did in fact receive the item. I suggest providing the tracking info to the buyer so that she can track the item.
ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT PACKING THE ITEM(S) OR ARE YOUR ITEMS BREAKABLE OR HEAVY??: You can always request in the description of your item that you prefer a local buyer for pick up/drop off. By entering your City/State when writing your Ad, buyers will be able to determine your proximity and if pick up/drop off would be an option. If items are breakable, you may want to go to a UPS store or other shipping store where they can properly pack the items for you so that they will not break during shipment. TO GUESTIMATE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS, you can do this at www.theupsstore.com. Just type in your location, where you are shipping the item, and the approximate weight - they will give you an estimate for the cost to ship.
